St. Ann Catholic Church
Welcome to St. Ann Catholic Church. St. Ann is
a strong Catholic community located in the town of La Vernia, Texas 25 miles east
of the San Antonio metroplex. We are a parish of somewhere in the
neighborhood of one thousand families. We celebrate in the lineage of the Roman
Catholic doctrine and dogma as a part of the Archdiocese of San Antonio.
Our parish family is growing continually and we look
forward to new members joining us.
Mass is celebrated by our parish priest Father
Stanislaw "Stan" Fiuk. We are blessed by God to have him as our pastor and
friend of all.
Our parish has a unique spiritual presence in the
community. Behind our church sanctuary are the stations of the cross in an
outdoor setting. It is not unusual to find Christians and non-Christians
alike walking the quarter mile journey experiencing the last minutes of Jesus'
life as they encounter Him on their journey. And the amazing thing is they walk day
and night as the stations are illuminated during the hours of darkness.
In addition to the Stations there are several areas
where one can spend moments in meditation
before the statue of the Blessed
Virgin Mary or the Image of Our Lady of Guadalupe all donated by members of the
parish or friends who wanted to increase the solemnity of the area.
And beside the church itself is a Rosary Garden where you can pray the Rosary by
walking it.
So if you are around during Mass times or just
want to stop by the office and say hello, please do. We look
forward to having you as a part of the parish be it for the time you
live here or just visit.
